NirevonCards Terms of Use

Version: 1.0
Effective / last updated: 25 August 2026

1. General

These Terms govern use of the NirevonCards application (com.nirevoncards.app) and its related cloud features.

Before first use, the user is shown these Terms and the Privacy Policy. By selecting the legal confirmation checkbox and continuing, the user accepts Terms of Use version 1.0 and confirms that they have read Privacy Policy version 1.0. The Privacy Policy is a separate document explaining personal-data processing.

2. Current testing status and price

The current testing version of NirevonCards is provided free of charge. It has no active subscription, paid retailer placement or in-app advertising operated by NirevonCards.

A free installation or acceptance of these Terms does not automatically become a paid subscription. If paid features, subscriptions, advertising or retailer-paid services are introduced later, the applicable legal information and terms will be updated before the relevant commercial feature begins.

3. Purpose of the app

NirevonCards helps users store loyalty-card information they are entitled to use, display barcodes/QR codes, save GEO points and find a relevant card nearby.

NirevonCards does not issue retailer loyalty cards, award discounts or points, or guarantee that a retailer will accept a stored code. Unless expressly stated, NirevonCards is not affiliated with retailers, brands, Google, GitHub or OpenStreetMap. Third-party names and marks are used for identification only.

4. Age and general audience

NirevonCards is a general-audience utility and is not designed or marketed specifically to children under 13.

The current closed-testing Terms do not impose a separate 16+ or 18+ access gate. Users who are minors under the law of their country may use the service only where permitted by applicable law and with parent/guardian involvement where required.

If NirevonCards obtains actual knowledge that an online account belongs to a child under 13 and parental authorization is legally required, the account may be restricted or deleted unless the required authorization is obtained.

5. Account

A Google sign-in is required to use NirevonCards. The Google account is used to identify the user and provide access to the app. Cloud backup remains a separate optional feature.

Users must use an account they are authorized to use and must protect their device, Google account and recovery credentials. Users must not bypass security controls, interfere with cloud operation, access another person's data or use the service unlawfully.

6. Loyalty cards and user content

Users decide what loyalty-card information to enter and are responsible for ensuring they are authorized to use the relevant card/code.

Users must not knowingly store/display another person's private loyalty code without authorization, counterfeit cards, circumvent loyalty-program rules or use NirevonCards for fraud.

The retailer's or loyalty program's own terms continue to apply. Saving a card record in NirevonCards does not transfer membership rights and does not modify the retailer's rules.

7. Location and Smart Point Search

Nearby search and SPS are assistance features. Accuracy depends on GPS, local/downloaded GEO data, user-entered information and device conditions. Results may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect.

Users should independently verify a retailer, address, discount and card applicability. NirevonCards is not intended for navigation, emergency response or another safety-critical purpose.

8. Backups and recovery key

Cloud backup is an additional convenience and is not a guaranteed archival service.

New cloud backups are encrypted before upload. NirevonCards does not store the recovery key in Cloud Firestore and cannot recover it if lost. Loss of the key, change of credential provider, data corruption, network unavailability or third-party service failures may prevent restoration.

Users are responsible for protecting recovery credentials and exported backup files.

9. Sign out, account deletion and local data

Signing out is different from deleting the Nirevon account.

When the user confirms Sign out, NirevonCards removes the current user's locally stored loyalty-card data, card codes, user GEO points and related account-local data from that device. The local legal-acceptance state for that signed-out account is also cleared. Public/non-personal caches may remain where they are not tied to the signed-out account.

Signing out does not delete the user's Nirevon cloud account or encrypted cloud backups. If no usable encrypted cloud backup and recovery credentials exist, locally deleted card data may not be recoverable.

When the user later signs in, NirevonCards may offer restoration from an encrypted cloud backup associated with that Google/Firebase account. A valid recovery key may be required to decrypt the backup.

Account deletion can be scheduled from Account → Delete account after required reauthentication. Deletion is scheduled seven days after confirmation and may be cancelled before the scheduled time. Cloud functions may be restricted while deletion is pending. Account deletion removes the Nirevon account and associated cloud data according to the deletion process.

10. Updates and availability

Features, UI, brand directories and GEO data may change. A newer app version may be required for security or compatibility.

NirevonCards may depend on third-party services such as Google/Firebase, GitHub and map infrastructure and therefore cannot guarantee uninterrupted network or cloud availability.

11. Intellectual property

NirevonCards code, design and original materials are protected by applicable law. Users receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app under these Terms.

OpenStreetMap data/tiles and third-party trademarks remain subject to their respective rightsholders' terms and rights.

12. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by mandatory law, NirevonCards does not promise that every code will scan or be accepted, every GEO point will be correct, or every backup/cloud function will always be available.

NirevonCards is not responsible for retailer decisions, loyalty-program changes, loss of retailer points/discounts or failures of third-party services except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

13. Suspension and misuse

Cloud access may be limited when reasonably necessary to protect data, complete deletion, investigate abuse, comply with law or maintain service security. Temporary cloud restriction by itself does not delete local data. A user-confirmed Sign out, however, performs the local cleanup described in Section 9.

14. Applicable law and consumer rights

Latvian law governs these Terms to the extent permitted by law. A consumer retains mandatory protections that apply under the law of the consumer's country/state of habitual residence where those protections cannot be waived by contract.

Users may contact nirevoncards@gmail.com before using a court or consumer authority, without limiting any legal right to use an appropriate court, regulator or consumer-protection authority.

15. Changes to these Terms

The current Terms version is shown at the top. NirevonCards may store on the device the version of the Terms accepted for the current signed-in account and the acceptance timestamp.

If a future app version requires acceptance of a newer Terms version, the user will be asked to review and accept that newer version before continuing to use the app. Minor editorial corrections that do not materially change the Terms may be published without requiring a new acceptance version.

Updating these Terms alone never creates a paid subscription or a charge.
